The Challenge

ARAUCO, a global leader in the development of sustainable forest products, manufactures composite panels, plywood, millwork, lumber and pulp.

They recently purchased Flakeboard Company Limited, a privately held company based in Markham, Ontario which manufactures composite and thermally-fused melamine panels.

The International Woodworking Fair was their first combined trade show in North America. Our objective was to craft an inviting exhibit that highlighted their product lines and showcased them as market leaders.

Our Solution

We exclusively used Flakeboard and Arauco's wood board panels in the construction of their trade show booth to showcase their products.

The exhibit walls, pendant lighting, and reception desk were crafted from their materials.  Even the dimensional map was CNC cut from their MDF board and hand stained to get just the right finish.

To facilitate good traffic flow, enable visitors to easily see samples, and create some visual interest, we designed the plywood and MDF displays in a freestanding, vertical configuration.

The Result

Set among all the exhibitors at the IWF show, their new booth was striking.  Clean lines and a considered use of their wood products made their exhibit stand out. It left a lasting impression on all the visitors and the response was overwhelmingly positive.  As put to us by the client: "Compliments are still coming in!"

To creatively incorporate videos and messaging we integrated vertical monitors into the custom millwork to maintain the clean look throughout the booth.

To further showcase our client's product we used their own wood board to craft custom designed hanging light fixtures for their offices.
